Stick War 2 - story so far

Well, after spending a solid month on the game, Eli the Programmer was forced to fly back home, he has some other major projects atm, and In the meantime I will be working on animations to make them as polished as possible.  As far as Graphics Winston has almost everything complete.  So once the animations are finished And Eli has some extra time Its a matter of popping them in and doing some more balance. So a future is in sight.  There is no release date yet but when we know you will know.  Here is a list of the animations finished and unfinished so far.

Day 14 - Monumental
We are almost at the halfway mark, and Id say we are still on target to finish by day 30, as I consider the first few days to be more about planning. 
At this point we have the important bits ready now we just need to make more of them.  As you can see in the pic the monuments will be very cool, since this pic there are already more then half the monuments finished.  Once they have the polish and stone effect on them I will update this pic to show the finished product as I did with the menu.  We wont show all of them as we don’t want to give everything away but enough to give you a good idea.
The animations are coming along as well as most of the hard stuff is out of the way such as the entire archer, as well Eli has already put him in the game and made him fully functional and the mechanics are a great improvement from the first.
If I have time I will try to show a video but we really are trying to put most of the effort into the game and we never stop to screw around  ;)

The main run animation is done and in the game, so we can now play with out just boxes which really shows us how the game is going to look.  Until we get some more animations in the game they turn back into boxes every so often. 
We already have a ton of new features from the first game, such as:
Weather effects such as lighting which lights up the units.Rain that is directional and random with nice spatters from the raindrops.Shadows from the units based on where the sun is in the sky.(and not just circles blurred but full shadows that move with the units)Backgrounds that will make you drool.and much much more. stay tuned.

Day 7 - 1 week already!

Wow its been a 7 days already, only 3 weeks to go.

I’ve been working on the run animation and its looking good, this will be the major animation as it will be the most used. 

While I spent over 8 hours animating one explosion, Winston was able to whip up a ton of nice concepts for backgrounds and even complete 2 entire finished detailed backgrounds while working on the pause menu, which is now in a entirely new polished state from the posted picture. (I may post the finished one later for comparison).

Eli always impresses us as he continues to turn his programming into an art form.

Well the main thing is we are working hard and having a good time, with the promise of a great game in reach.
